Clean Beauty is the hottest buzzword circling around us these days. And depending on who you talk to, there are different definitions and parameters around what constitutes as ‘clean’.
Why is that?
“Under the law, cosmetic products and ingredients do not need FDA premarket approval, with the exception of color additives. Neither the law nor FDA regulations require specific tests to demonstrate the safety of individual products or ingredients. The law also does not require cosmetic companies to share their safety information with FDA.”
Between clever marketing, paid advertisements, and different definitions, no wonder there is confusion! But why I believe in clean beauty is simply: it is a different, higher standard of beauty products. We are challenging the ingredients being used in formulation and moving the needle for better beauty products. And the more clean beauty products we make available, the more accessible it to everyone. Because everyone should have access to better beauty products.
